The leader facilitates the transfer of weapons into central Helmand province and is involved in ambush attacks targeting Afghan and coalition forces throughout central Helmand province.

An Afghan and coalition security force arrested a Taliban weapons facilitator in Nangarhar province today. The arrested leader is believed to have organized and executed the transfer of weapons and ammunition to Taliban fighters and conducted assassination planning. The security force also detained two suspected insurgents and seized several assault-style rifles and ammunition as a result of the operation.
An Afghan and coalition security force arrested a Haqqani leader in Logar province today. The arrested leader is suspected of planning and launching rocket propelled grenades and 82mm rocket attacks against Afghan and coalition forces in southern Logar province.
